I feel guilty I “forgot” I loved this ad, and that my son actually commented on it, but it’s worth sharing here. Aside from the utter simplicity of the words at the end, check this out: the Stanley Cup slowly gets “lifted” into position until it is securely overhead in the victory position. Note also the passage of time for the 1940’s ? til modern day. I just got done watching this 5 more times…ahh, nice.

Jesse the T-Shirt Designer
Jesse Egan knows great design when he sees it. WHERE he sees it is a different story altogether. And that’s where our story begins.
This spring, Jesse traveled to Madison to check out the concert by his favorite hip-hop artist Macklemore. Having met Macklemore briefly at a prior performance, Jesse got to the show early hoping to run into Macklemore again. After grabbing an ice-cold beverage, Jesse wandered over to the merchandise booth to check out the t-shirts and say hi to Macklemore’s girlfriend, Tricia.
At this point he was drawn to a sweet-looking t-shirt filled with icons representing Macklemore’s hit song “And We Danced”. And then it hit him: The t-shirt was a Jesse Egan original design! That’s right: several months earlier he submitted the design as part of a design contest offered through Macklemore’s website. Though his design was chosen, Jesse never received confirmation. But in the frantic world of hip-hop, who has time for a winner notification, right?
When Jesse told Tricia that he had designed the t-shirt he was immediately given a free t-shirt. Tricia also texted Macklemore backstage to inform him that “the designer” was in the house. Macklemore was stoked to hear it.
But it gets better: (more…)

Volcano Fun!
Do you like your exploding volcano pictures with a dash of Northern Lights or lightning or perhaps insane sparks? Or do you fancy yourself more of a straight-up cloud-ash viewer? I could look at these pics all day long. So many cool things in each photo. Enjoy.

The Heiser Group
I don’t mean to be hating on Marianne Skafiete of the Heiser Toyota tv commercials … she seems like a decent, hard-working South-sider. Someone tricked her into being the company spokesman, though. Her shocking red hair and dreary delivery might work for some, but her constant mispronunciations of easy words are like fingernails on a chalkboard.
Her best? “X-specially”. Have you seen and heard these? Would you like to buy some wheels from Marianne?
They’re conveniently located on Highway “Hunert” … ugh.

Coolness
I ran across some cool installations or environmental art or … I don’t know what it is. Anyway, I didn’t want you to think I was hatin’ on everything out there. Check it out.
